Wayne Allen Simpson

Wayne Allen Simpson, 68, of New Bern, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Crystal Coast Hospice House, Newport.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Laura Simpson and sisters, Daisy Duncan, Jackie Houston, and Margaret Henries.

Left to cherish his memory are his brother, Billy Simpson; sisters, Laura Love Simpson and Dorothy “Dot” Armstrong (Dickie); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Wayne was a quite soul but loved by many and will be missed by all.

He was an avid Carolina fan and loved to watch football. He also enjoyed reading but will be remembered as a talented “pool shark”. Wayne spent many years on the water as either a commercial fisherman or a merchant marine.

His memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 2nd at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family requested memorial contributions be made to Crystal Coast Hospice House, 100 Big Rock Weigh, Newport, NC 28570.
