William Thomas Cullipher

William Thomas (Bill) Cullipher passed away peacefully in his sleep on February  1st , 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was a veteran of the Korean War, was active in community organizations , including The Ruritan Club,  Boy & Cub Scouts, Masons, school PTA’s, Coast Guard Auxiliary  and his church, where he was an ordained deacon in the Baptist Church, active in whatever church he attended.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, George & Mary Adams Cullipher, his only brother, Joe (Tillie) and infant son,  George Thomas.

On May 4 ^th , 1954 he married the love of his life, Ruby Jean Estep and they shared 64 years together.

They have three sons, Michael (Allison) of Mebane, NC, Jeffery (Yvonne) of New Bern, NC, and Steven (Mala) of Sebring, FL; five grandchildren, Andria (Josh) of Hubert NC, Olivia of Boone, NC,  Matthew of New Bern, Maya of Jacksonville, FL, William of Sebring, FL; four great-grandchildren, Autumn, Avery, Alexandria, and Aiden; two step grandchildren, Cameron of New Bern and Jennifer of Charleston, SC; and the Estep family;  sisters, Anna Ruth(Bill) of Memphis TN, Charlotte from Miami, FL, Pauline of Cantonment, FL, Emma Jane (Richard) of Fountain Hills, AZ; brothers, Thomas Dewey(Brenda) of Charlottesville, VA and James Walton (Debra) of Hamilton NJ, who all loved him like a brother.

Visitation will be at Tabernacle Baptist Church on Saturday, February 6, at 1 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2 PM in the sanctuary.

In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to your favorite charity or to St. Jude Hospital or Unity  at Tabernacle Baptist Church.
