Willie Jean Brimmer

Willie Jean Brimmer was born June 3, 1947, to the late William and Esther Brimmer, she departed this life on Thursday, October 24, 2019.  She is also reunited with her son, Tony Doniel Brimmer, who preceded her in death.

Jean attended JT Barber High School and later obtained her GED. She started her career as a CNA at Charles McDaniel Nursing Home and worked her way up to med tech supervisor before retiring due to illness in 1999.

She resided in Carebridge Nursing Facility until 2009 when she moved to Charlotte with her daughter, Cassandra. They later moved to Morehead City in 2018.

Ms. Jean leaves to cherish her loving memory, daughters, Cassandra Brimmer and Peggy Ward of Morehead City; her son, Ronald Brimmer of New Bern; grandchildren, Phylicia, Jennifer (Christian), Michael, Dawnsha, Jessica, Antonio, Avery (Trena), Kamel, Noah, DeAndre (Jessica), Artavis, Brandon, Tony Jr., Marcus, Toniqua and Josaya.

Her legacy has been passed to her family, including two sisters, Rosanna Brimmer of Pine Hill, NJ and Esther Marie Fisher of New Bern; two brothers, William (Hilda) Brimmer of New Bern and James Brimmer of Cove City; a special niece, Patricia Jordan; and sixteen great grandchildren.

She also leaves to cherish her life a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Her funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 2nd at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in the Riverdale Community with the Rev. James Mock officiating.
