Zool Ireland

Zool Ireland, 80, of Lowland passed away Monday, January 30, 2023, at home surrounded by his cherished family.

He loved the Lord and had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Zool owned and operated his family seafood company, Harbor Packing Co., for 45 years. An avid hunter, he met and collected many friends whom he cherished, throughout the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Freeman and Catherine Ireland; his sisters, Iola Leary and Ramona Willis; brothers, Bennie Ireland and Hoyle Ireland; son, Freeman Bradley Ireland; and grandson, Maxton Dula.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Henries Ireland; son, Ernest Ivan Ireland (Pam); stepdaughter, Terri Southerland (Tommy); brother, Dolan W. Ireland (Martha); four grandchildren, Freeman Scott Ireland, Catherine Alexis Ireland, Layla Ireland, and Ava Ireland, and four step-grandchildren, Olivia “Ollie” Southerland, Sabra Cahoon, Ambra Branum, and Talon Nethercutt; two great-grandchildren, Cassidy Ireland and Addilyn Haines; as well as his many beloved nephews and nieces.

A floating visitation will be held Sunday, February 5th from 2pm to 3pm at Goose Creek Island Community Center with a Celebration of life starting at 3pm.
