Sarah Mcdaniel Jackson

Sarah McDaniel Jackson, 83, of New Bern passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at home.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Edward “Pee-Wee” Jackson, two sons, Billy E. Jackson and Jerry G. Jackson & wife, Jeanne, all of New Bern; brother, Milton McDaniel of Pine Knoll Shores; three sisters, Patricia Ward of Wilmington, Mary Lewis of Grifton, and Gladys Baxter of Williamsburg, VA; five grandchildren, Jesse Jackson, Crystal Jackson, Eddie Jackson & wife, Emily, Christopher Jackson, & Nancy Ayers; and nine great-grandchildren.

Her memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 24 at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charlene Guider and Ed Armstrong officiating.

The family will receive friends and relatives immediately following the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607 or one’s favorite charity.
