Charles Franklin “Frank” Brinson, Jr., 81, of Arapahoe passed away Friday, February 14, 2025, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
A Vietnam veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Carolina Telephone after 36 years of service. In the 80’s Frank enjoyed scuba diving and co-owned an underwater marine vessel cleaning business. Later he followed in his father’s footsteps and obtained his pilot’s license. He enjoyed flying and attending the Oshkosh air show in Wisconsin. When he was no longer able to fly, he began his adventures on “his scooter”. He loved travelling with his friend, Robert West, on their Harley’s wherever the roads took them.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nina Brinson and his wife, Hilda Simpson Brinson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory sons, Todd Brinson and Greg Brinson (Melanie); brother, James Brinson (Linda); sister, Francine Kitchen; and grandsons, Adam, Jacob and Aaron Brinson.
A memorial service to honor Frank’s life will be held 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 21st at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be in Paul Cemetery, Arapahoe.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
